From December 9 to 10, 2023, the 2023 National College Engineering Management Deans/Department Heads Conference sponsored by the Engineering Management and Engineering Cost Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee of the Ministry of Education was held in Chongqing University. With the theme of High-quality development of engineering management professionals, this conference will discuss topics such as construction of engineering management majors, teaching reform and development, innovative talents and interdisciplinary integration. The conference invited the national engineering management, engineering cost, real estate development and management, intelligent construction and other related professional school deans/department chairs, professional teachers and engineering construction industry experts to attend. Professor Zhang Dong, Director of the Real Estate Research Institute, Professor Wu Jianjun, Director of the Investment Department, Teacher Long Chi, deputy director of the investment Department, teacher Xing Xuejiao and Teacher Zhang Yan attended the meeting.

The conference set up five sub-forums for engineering management, engineering cost, real estate development and management, intelligent construction, and new vision of professional education, and 30 experts and scholars from the national engineering management, engineering cost, real estate development and management, intelligent construction and other related majors made theme reports. Among them, Professor Zhang Dong of our college published a report with the theme of Brief Introduction to the Construction of the Real Estate Discipline in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in the sub-forum of the Real Estate Development and Management specialty, which deeply expounded the development course of the investment discipline and specialty of our university, and introduced the unique characteristics of the discipline and the current development situation in detail.

With vivid and detailed data and cases, Professor Zhang Dong demonstrated the research strength and discipline characteristics of the investment discipline of our university. The whole report has aroused enthusiastic responses and discussions in the professional sub-forums. This report not only sets up a new style for the discipline construction of our university, but also lays a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation and academic exchanges.
